Advanced Solar Power mass-produces cadmium telluride PV modules: Advanced Solar Power (Hangzhou) said that it has mass-produced a new generation of high-efficiency cadmium telluride thin-film standard photovoltaic modules (0.72,1200mm×600mm). After testing, the maximum output power of the high-efficiency cadmium telluride photovoltaic module touched 123.73 W, and the full-area photoelectric conversion efficiency is at 17.19%. With this, Advanced Solar Power (Hangzhou) enters the international advanced ranks in the R&D and manufacturing of cadmium telluride thin film solar cells.

Autowell sells marking and welding machine to Tongwei: Automation equipment manufacturer Autowell Technology announced that it has signed a sales deal with integrated solar PV manufacturer from China Tongwei Solar (Hefei). As per the deal, Autowell has sold an all-in-one machine for marking and welding to Tongwei Solar (Hefei) for RMB 100 million ($14.3 million). In August this year, Autowell subsidiary had sold a SC-1600 single crystal furnace to Chinese solar module manufacturer, Trina Solar (see China PV News Snippets)

JinkoSolar's N-type BIPV project among best designs: Module supplier JinkoSolar announced that the new headquarters of Dubai Water and Electricity Authority has been selected as one of Fortune's 50 Best Designs in China, and also recognized as the best design work in the zero-carbon era. And the building uses JinkoSolar's N-type BIPV curtain wall products. For this award, researchers nominated and evaluated products based on five aspects – the product's adaptability and scalability, ease of use, commercial success, impact on society or the environment, and whether it redefines the design of products in the category. Happy at the news, JinkoSolar said that this clearly showcases the power of renewable energy combined with architectural design.

Midea Group subsidiary releases PV product solutions: Hiconics, a subsidiary of Midea Group, recently released a series of PV and ESS products, which marks that Midea has become another white goods giant entering PV industry after TCL and Skyworth. Founded in 2002, Hiconics was acquired by Midea Group and now under Midea Group's Industrial Technology Business Group (MITBG). Currently, based on ESS and SVG products, the company has formed comprehensive solutions of generation, grid, load and storage, especially C&I user side micro grid solutions which is mainly composed of distributed rooftop solar systems, ESS, smart energy management system EMS and smart micro grid protection measurement and control system.

Sungrow wins TÜV Rheinland Developer Award: Solar PV inverter supplier Sungrow  announced that it has won the Photovoltaic Power Plant Developer Award at the  Photovoltaic Festival hosted by testing company TÜV Rheinland. This award evaluates companies for their strength as photovoltaic power station developers, and includes criteria such as technical strength, investment and financing ability, project management, and the like. Sungrow has been given the highest evaluation of AAA. Last month, Sungrow had said that it is supplying its inverters for what it terms as the world's 'largest' building integrated PV (BIPV) project to date with 120 MW planned capacity whose Phase I was commissioned in June 2022 (see Sungrow Inverters For 120 MW 'Largest' BIPV Project)

Tongwei wins 200 MW module bid: Guangdong Power Development has released the list of winning candidates for the third batch of PV module procurement in 2022, local media reports said. As per the announcement, the first candidate is integrated solar PV manufacturer Tongwei Solar Energy (Hefei) with a bid price of RMB 396.2 million ($56.95 million) and a unit price of RMB 1.981/W ($0.28/W), followed by Risen Energy and Canadian Solar. The 200 MW modules shall be delivered from September to December 2022.

Xiaomi releases MIJIA Ourdoor power supply 1000 Pro & MIJIA solar panels: Consumer electronics and smart manufacturing company Xiaomi officially released MIJIA outdoor power supply 1000 Pro and MIJIA solar panels for outdoor power supply services. MIJIA outdoor power supply 1000 Pro is equipped with mixed solid liquid electrolyte of lithium battery, supporting 1800W power output and 5 types of interfaces for equipment charging at the same time. Meanwhile, the product can be used along with MIJIA solar panels, which only needs 1.5 hours of outdoor power supply to be fully charged, and is equipped with BMS security protection. MIJIA solar panels support 100W power output, equipped with IP65 protection and Metal Wrap Through (MWT) technology, which can achieve a high energy conversion rate. In addition to MWT, the panels also have an EVA layer, insulation layer and a glass front panel. Meanwhile, the panels can be folded during use, which is roughly the size of A2 paper and weighs 3.1kg after being folded.

Envision partners with Fujian Zhao'an County: Zhao'an County Government announced on its website that green tech company Envision Group has signed a zero carbon industry project strategic cooperation agreement with them. As per the agreement, the company plans to invest RMB 10.3 billion ($1.48 billion) in the construction, covering a total area of about 26.67 hectares. This project intends to build an internationally leading and unique zero-carbon industrial park with an annual output value of over RMB 5 billion ($0.72 billion) through the joint development of landscape resources, the construction of central shared ESS power plants, the production and manufacturing of electrochemical ESS equipment, and the carbon and energy monitoring and management platform, so as to help Zhao'an achieve carbon neutrality.
