Trina ships Vertex 670W series modules to Greece; Zhonghuan net profit at RMB 5 billion in Q3 2022; Kzone produces alkali polishing equipment; Mubang Hi-Tech to invest in silicon purification project.
Greece PV project uses Trina Vertex 670W modules: Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar said that its Vertex 670W series modules have been shipped to Greece for the 100 MW Delfini project. Located in Prosotsani Drama district in northern Greece, Delfini is considered to be one of the largest solar PV installations in the country. Amid rising electricity prices across Europe, the Vertex 670W series modules known for high power, high efficiency, high reliability, and low electricity cost, come across as a good choice. The project is expected to be operational in 2023 and will be able to power about 34,000 homes. Zhonghuan Holdings Q3 results out: Zhonghuan Holdings Group, the parent company of leading solar wafer maker TCL Zhonghuan, announced its third quarter results for 2022. The company saw a year-on-year increase of 71.35% in its operating income, which stood at RMB 49.8 billion ($6.87 billion). The net profit rose by 80.68% at RMB 5 billion ($0.69 billion). The company attributed this growth to the Ningxia Zhonghuan Phase VI facility that was put into operation, thus increasing the production capacity; and the integration of G12 technology and industry 4.0 production line, which increased the manufacturing capacity and technological ability of the company. Kzone produces alkali polishing equipment for TOPCOn and PERC cells: Wet etching equipment manufacturer Suzhou Kzone Equipment Technology Co. announced that it has independently developed and produced single-slot-six-flower-basket alkaline polishing etching and cleaning equipment. Made at its Jingzhou production base, this equipment is suitable for wet alkali polishing process of TOPCon and PERC cells. The company went on to add that this is the first time such an equipment has been developed in China and that the company has mass-produced and delivered them to the client too.
Mubang Hi-Tech to invest RMB 350 million in silicon purification project: Education toys producer and seller Mubang Hi-Tech said that it plans to build a silicon purification and recycling facility with an annual output of 5,000 tons in Baotou City through a subsidiary. The investment will be around RMB 350 million ($48.31 million) and the construction period will be about a year. On completion, the facility is expected to generate an annual operating income of RMB 457 million ($63.08 million), and the net profit will be about RMB 112 million ($15.46 million).
