Day 2 of TaiyangNews Conference to focus on HJT Cell Technology;  LONGi to invest in 10 GW module facility; Allied to invest in perovskite PV equipment;

Day 2 of TaiyangNews Conference tomorrow: Day 2 of TaiyangNews Virtual Conference on High Efficiency Solar Technologies – TOPCon, HJT and Beyond, Today & Tomorrow will take place tomorrow. LONGi to invest RMB 2.5 billion for 10 GW module facility: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company, LONGi, announced that it has joined hands with  Government of Heshan City. At Heshan, LONGi plans to construct a 10 GW monocrystalline modules facility with an investment of about RMB 2.5 billion ($0.35 billion). Allied to invest in perovskite PV equipment: Producer and seller of organic electroluminescent materials (OLED materials) and new display industry core equipment, Allied, said that it plans to use the over-raised funds of RMB 49 million ($6.85 million) to invest in the construction of:

  • perovskite solar cell evaporation equipment, where the investment will be about RMB 29 million ($4.05 million) and the construction period will be for 20 months
  • a low-cost organic perovskite carrier transport material, where the investment will be about RMB 20 million ($2.79 million) and the construction period will be for 20 months

JinkoSolar to raise RMB 10 billion: Module supplier JinkoSolar said in an announcement that it plans to issue convertible corporate bonds to unspecified objects and the funds raised will not exceed RMB 10 billion ($1.4 billion). Among others, the funds, after deducting issuance expenses, will be used to construct a 11 GW high-efficiency cell production line and a 8 GW high-automation photovoltaic module production line.
