Wetown Electric to raise RMB 1.002 billion: Power distribution and new energy company Wetown Electric announced that it plans to raise about RMB 1.002 billion ($0.14 billion) by issuing about 39 million shares. The raised funds will be used in multiple projects like the construction of 5 GWh energy storage systems; photovoltaic ribbons with an annual output of 25,000 tons; and to support the working capital.

LONGi and Wanhua Chemical join hands: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi said in a press release that it has got into a cooperation agreement with innovative chemical product supplier Wanhua Chemical. With this, both companies will jointly explore the clean energy application market and work together in multiple fields such as photovoltaics, hydrogen energy, BIPV and new materials. With this development, LONGi will increase its focus on creating BIPV products that match the life cycle of the roof, have high reliability and customer satisfaction. Last month, LONGi had invested in Tongwei Yongxiang Phase II 200,000 ton silicon facility (see China PV News Snippets). Autowell signs RMB 96 million deal with Tata Power: Automation equipment manufacturer Autowell Technology said in an announcement that it has got into an equipment sales deal with India's Tata Power Solar System Limited. As per the deal, the company will sell cell interconnection machines to Tata Power for a transaction value of RMB 96 million ($13.7 million) (tax included). In October, Autowell was able to ink a RMB 140 million supply contract with Jinko (see China PV News Snippets)
