Trina produces 8 GW 210+n-type i-TOPCon cells in Suqian base: Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar said over a WeChat communication that it had produced 8 GW 210+n-type i-TOPCon cells at Suqian base. The produced 210R rectangular cells will be used in the newly released new generation of Vertex n-type 595 W modules, the company said. When compared with n-type 72-cell and 78-cell modules in the industry, the Vertex n-type 595 W module can be multi-stringed with 6-12 modules to achieve maximum utilization and reduce BOS cost. The construction of this facility had begun in July 2022, and had become completely operational by December 30, 2022. At the recent TaiyangNews High Efficiency Solar Technologies Conference, Trina Solar presented about Why the time for TOPCon has arrived now, which can be viewed here.

Yingfa Pre-IPO round of financing completed: Over WeChat, electricity and heat producer and supplier Yingfa Group said that it has completed the pre-IPO round of financing. Amounting to RMB 1.03 billion (0.15 billion), the raised funds will be used to construct the second phase of the 10 GW high-efficiency crystalline silicon facility of Yibin Yingfa Deyao Technology Co., Ltd. Completing the second round of financing with this, Yingfa has raised a cumulative financing of RMB 2.6 billion ($0.38 billion) till now.

Jiyquan and OUR HOUSE join hands for integrated PV production facility: Jiuquan Municipal People's Government and China based large scale home-life-service provider, OUR HOUSE, have joined hands for an integrated PV production facility, though with strong focus on wafers, while cell and module capacities are much smaller. With an investment of RMB 12 billion ($1.7 billion), the facility is located in the South Park of Jiuquan Development Zone and contains two sub-facilities. The first facility will have an investment of RMB 6 billion ($0.87 billion) and will produce 20 GW single crystal wafers, while the second sub-facility will also have an investment of RMB 6 billion ($0.87 billion) but will produce 6 GW high-efficiency heterojunction cells and 2 GW modules.

Zhongchengyu silicon ingot facility put into production: Photovoltaic power generation company Zhongchengyu Energy said that its 2 GW Czochralski monocrystalline ingot facility has been put into production. The company added that the facility uses the world's most advanced 1600-type single crystal furnace equipment and adopts the CZ silicon single crystal Czochralski method. The facility plans to sell 6,000 tons of monocrystalline silicon rods and 680,000 modules in 2023.
