Trina & JJ-LAPP come together for solar energy development: Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with JJ-LAPP, a joint-venture between Jebsen & Jessen Group and LAPP Holding Asia. With this partnership, both the companies will cooperate and jointly develop solar PV projects in South East Asia for the benefit of customers in the commercial, industrial (C&I) and utility-scale segments of the solar market. Previously too, both of them worked together on solar projects in South East Asia, especially in Indonesia, Philippines, and Thailand.
Bangjie to buy solar cell production equipment: Seamless garment design specialist Bangjie Share announced that it has signed a procurement deal with new energy equipment manufacturer, S.C New Energy Technology Corporation. With this, Bangjie will be purchasing high-efficiency photovoltaic cells production equipment for its 10 GW high-efficiency photovoltaic cell facility in Yangzhou. The total transaction price is said to be around RMB 912 million ($132.27 million).
Jingxu New Energy 5 GW facility produces first PV module: Over WeChat, photovoltaic equipment manufacturer Jingxu New Energy said that its Linfen facility, which is in the first phase of development, has produced its first monocrystalline 182-cell 550 W high-efficiency photovoltaic module. With an investment of RMB 2.5 billion ($0.36 billion), the construction of the first phase had begun in October 2022 and is scheduled to be officially put into operation in April 2023. On completion, the annual production capacity will be about 5 GW, and the annual output value will be RMB 10 billion ($1.45 billion).
