Golden Photovoltaic subsidiary bags large HJT cells order; Boamax to raise RMB 3 billion for HJT facilities; GCL to construct 12 GW PV module facility; Shuangliang Eco-Energy partners with EGing PV for silicon wafers.

Golden Photovoltaic wins large solar cells order: Supplier of high-end special building glass, Golden Photovoltaic (formerly known as Golden Glass) announced in a WeChat communication that its subsidiary, JG Solar, will be selling 180 MW of high-efficiency heterojunction solar cells to Quanwei New Energy, which is a subsidiary of Guoli Science and Technology. The transaction amount has not yet been revealed. In October, Golden Photovoltaic had raised  RMB 49 million in equity for its cell/module production (see China PV News Snippets).

Boamax Technologies to raise RMB 3 billion for HJT facilities: CNC sheet metal technology company, Suzhou Boamax Technologies, announced that it will be raising funds not exceeding RMB 3 billion ($0.44 billion). Once issuance expenses are deducted, the raised funds will be used for the following facilities:

  • Boamax Technologies Huaiyuan 2 GW high-efficiency heterojunction cells and modules manufacturing facility, which when put into production will have annual capacity of 2 GW of heterojunction cells and 2 GW of heterojunction modules.
  • Boamax Technologies Etuoke Banner wafer, cell and modules facility, which on completion will produce 2 GW of crystalline silicon wafers, 2 GW of heterojunction solar cells, and 2 GW of heterojunction modules annually.

Earlier this year, Suzhou Boamax had announced plans to invest RMB 5.5 billion in HJT production capacities (see China PV News Snippets).

GCL Integration to invest RMB 2 billion in 12 GW PV module facility: Chinese solar PV cell and module manufacturer GCL Integration announced plans to construct a 12 GW high-efficiency PV module facility in Funing Economic Development Zone in Jiangsu Province. The total investment is about RMB 2 billion ($0.29 billion) and the facility is expected to be put into operation before October 30, 2023. This move by the company is to basically seize the rapidly growing photovoltaic market share, where it intends to meet mainstream and new high-efficiency photovoltaic module market demands. Last month, GCL Integration had begun construction of its Wuhu 20 GW high-efficiency cell facility (see China PV News Snippets).

Shuangliang to supply wafers to EGing: China headquartered solar PV production equipment maker and wafer producer Shuangliang Eco-Energy said that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Shuangliang Silicon Materials (Baotou), has signed a monocrystalline silicon wafer purchase and sales contract with solar photovoltaic products developer, EGing PV. EGing PV is expected to purchase a total of 334 million monocrystalline silicon wafers for about RMB 2.7 billion ($0.39 billion) from Shuangliang Silicon Materials in 2023.
