DAH Solar To Set Up 4 GW Smart Energy Project…& More

DAH Solar to set up 4 GW smart energy project: Smart photovoltaic systems equipment manufacturer Anhui Daheng Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (DAH Solar) is all geared up to set up a 'smart energy intelligent' manufacturing base in Chaohu, after an agreement was signed between DAH Solar and the Chaohu Economic Development Zone, the company said in an announcement. Spread across 150,000 square meters, the project with RMB 2 billion investment is planned to construct a 4 GW PV module and solar cell factory.

Aiko signs 1.6 bn silicon order with Meike: In an announcement, Chinese solar cell producer Aiko Solar said it intends to purchase 1.6 billion monocrystalline wafers (up or down by no more than 20%) from Chinese silicon wafer manufacturer Jiangsu Meike Solar during the period 1 January, 2022 to 31 December 2024. Referring to the latest monocrystalline wafer prices announced by PVInfoLink, the procurement amount can be pegged at RMB 11 billion ($1.73 billion). Earlier this month, Aiko had released its Q3/2021 financial results, where the operating income was up, but profit was down (see Aiko Solar Releases Q3/2021 Financial Report)

Zhongli signs 5 PV contracts with Huaneng Electronic: Zhongli Group said that its cell and module manufacturing subsidiary Talesun Solar has signed five PV module procurement contracts with Shanghai Huaneng Electronic,  a subsidiary of power sources developer China Huaneng Group. As part of the contract, Zhongli will sell photovoltaic modules worth RMB 1.7 billion ($0.27 billion) to Huaneng Electronic. In September, Zhongli had signed a 500 MW rooftop distributed PV project with the People's Government of Benxi Manchu Autonomous County and China Power Investment Northeast New Energy Development (see China PV News Snippets: Sungrow, Zhongli, JA Solar)

JinkoPower bags multiple rooftop distributed PV projects: Clean energy provider JinkoPower and its wholly-owned subsidiary Shanghai Jingping Power have got into agreements with several local governments and enterprises to develop rooftop distributed photovoltaic power plants. The total installed capacity will be about 450 MW, and will include 200 MW in Hengshan, another 200 MW in Nanlou Development Zone, and about 50 MW in Jianshan.

Finance Ministry issues additional subsidies budget: The Chinese Ministry of Finance issued a notice on the advance release of the 2022 renewable energy tariff supplementary subsidy local fund budget. As per the notice, the total new energy subsidy funds issued is RMB 3.87 billion ($0.61 billion). Among them, RMB 1.55 billion ($0.24 billion) will be for wind power, RMB 2.28 billion ($0.36 billion) for photovoltaic, and RMB 38.24 million ($6 million) for biomass.
