Sichuan Lihao Semiconductor begins construction of its facility in Yujing; Solar Potential Energy partners with Lujiang County for a 10.8 GW HJT facility; Hunan Red Sun delivers its dry-cleaning equipment.

Construction begins for Sichuan Lihao Semiconductor Yujing facility: Electronic special materials manufacturer, Sichuan Lihao Semiconductor, said over WeChat that the phase I of its facility in Yujing Zone has begun construction. With an investment of RMB 11 billion ($1.6 billion), the facility will have an annual output of 100,000 tons of photovoltaic-grade high-purity crystalline silicon and 2,000 tons of electronic-grade high-purity crystalline silicon. The construction is expected to be completed by August 2024. Once completed, the output value from the facility is expected to be RMB 20 billion ($2.9 billion).

Solar Potential Energy to build 10.8 GW HJT stacked cell module facility: In a WeChat communication, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing company Solar Potential Energy New Energy said that it has signed an agreement with Lujiang County of Hefei City to build a 10.8 GW heterojunction stacked cells and modules facility. A company that supplies photovoltaic high-efficiency heterojunction full-spectrum laminated cells and modules and also provides low-cost green energy solutions for all-weather and all-scenario, Solar Potential Energy New Energy said that the investment on the facility is about RMB 7.5 billion ($1.09 billion) and will be built in two phases. Once it is completed, the annual output value is expected to be about RMB 16.5 billion ($2.4 billion).

Hunan Red Sun dry-cleaning equipment delivered: New energy product research and development company Hunan Red Sun said via WeChat that the dry-cleaning equipment it has developed has been delivered to the customer site. The equipment is highly compatible and can be used for cleaning silicon nitride and amorphous silicon deposited on graphite boats, and also for cleaning LPCVD quartz parts. The equipment adopts a mature tubular equipment structure that ensure excellent cleaning in short amount of time, unlike the conventional wet cleaning methods, where the process is slow and long. Touted to be the first photovoltaic dry-cleaning equipment in China, the company said that this equipment is likely to bring revolutionary changes to the industry's silicon wafer carrier cleaning methods. Meanwhile, in January this year, Hunan Red Sun had won a bid for its PECVD equipment (see China PV News Snippets)
