Kibing establishes subsidiary to enter distributed PV: Solar glass manufacturer Kibing Group announced that in order to promote and improve its photovoltaic glass business, its wholly-owned subsidiary Chenzhou Photovoltaic plans to establish a new company – Zhangzhou Kibing New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. – with a registered capital of RMB 50 million ($7.85 million). The company will use Zhangzhou Kibing New Energy as a platform to build and operate distributed photovoltaic power station projects on sites that meet the construction conditions. In July, Kibing had signed a strategic agreement with China Southern Power Grid (see China PV News Snippets: Kibing, Arctech, GCL)

Shanghai Tianyang to invest RMB 1.05 bn in solar encapsulation film production projects: Scientific research and innovative enterprise Shanghai Tianyang said that it intends to sign an investment agreement with Jiangsu Rudong Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone Management Committee to implement a solar encapsulation film project. The factory will have an investment of RMB 1.05 billion ($0.16 billion) and an annual output of 300 million square meters of solar energy encapsulation film. The project will be constructed in 2 phases, of which the investment in the first phase will be about RMB 500 million ($78.48 million), with an annual output of 150 million square meters of solar encapsulation film.

China Huaneng & Chinaland Solar join hands for intelligent production lines: The Baise City Government, China Huaneng Group Guangxi Branch, and Chinaland Solar Energy held a signing ceremony for a 'photovoltaic intelligent park' project. As per the agreement, China Huaneng and Chinaland Solar Energy will invest about RMB 2.2 billion ($0.35 billion) in the photovoltaic industry in Baidong New District and Youjiang District, and will construct intelligent production lines for photovoltaic modules, inverters, aluminium frames, and mounting systems, which will be used towards creating a new energy photovoltaic intelligent technology industrial park.

China Gas & Three Gorges signed a strategic cooperation agreement: Cross-regional integrated energy supply and service companies China Gas and Yangtze Three Gorges Investment Management Co., Ltd. have entered into a strategic cooperation agreement. Both parties will promote the implementation of zero-carbon smart city projects, and jointly explore green carbon business mechanisms and extend value-added service pilots.
