Jinkopower To Acquire San Juan PV Power Station…& More

JinkoPower to acquire San Juan PV power station in Argentina: Clean energy provider JinkoPower announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Jinko Power (HK) Company Limited, intends to acquire a 100% stake in Cordillera Solar IS.A. indirectly held by JinkoPower, a related party. The acquisition amount is pegged at RMB 96.08 million ($15.1 million). Cordillera Solar IS.A. is the project company of the San Juan photovoltaic power station in Argentina. This acquisition is in line with Jinko's global development strategy and is expected to help enhance its brand influence in Latin America.

JYT to build 22 GW monocrystal project: Beijing Jingyuntong Technology Co., Ltd. (JYT Corporation), the Chinese solar wafer and equipment maker, announced its plans to build a 22 GW single crystal pulling rod and slicing project during the second phase of its Leshan project. The investment during this phase will be about RMB 5.5 billion ($0.86 billion). The company said that the first phase of the Leshan 24 GW monocrystal rod-cutting project was carried out in an orderly manner. Hence, the company decided to execute the second phase of the project. Akcome to sell 10% of Zhejiang Akcome Optoelectronics: Chinese solar cell and module producer Akcome Technology said that its wholly owned subsidiary Suzhou Akcome Optoelectronics Technology intends to transfer 10% its equity interest in Zhejiang Akcome Optoelectronics to Xingchang Equity for a price of RMB 150 million ($23.57 million). It also plans to introduce state-owned asset strategic investor Xingchang Equity and rely on state-owned capital to achieve further industrial layout. In August, Akcome Technology and engineering management company PowerChina Guizhou Engineering had decided to construct and develop a high-efficiency heterojunction PV module factory base, large-scale PV power plant projects, and financial investment platform (see China PV News Snippets: Three Gorges, Akcome, Zoomlight)
