LONGi increases silicon wafer prices: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi released the latest monocrystalline silicon wafer prices. Compared with December prices (see China PV News Snippets), currently the price of:

  • monocrystalline silicon wafer P-type M10 165μm thickness (182/247mm) has increased by RMB 0.3 to RMB 6.15 per piece ($0.047 to $0.97/piece)
  • P-type M6 165μm thickness (166/223mm) of crystalline silicon wafers has increased by RMB 0.12 to RMB 5.15/piece ($0.019 to $0.81/piece), and
  • monocrystalline silicon wafers P-type 158.75/223mm 165μm thickness has increased by RMB 0.12 to RMB 4.95/piece ($0.12 to $0.78/piece)

DR Laser to build 2nd phase of R&D project: Chinese laser integrator DR Laser announced that the company plans to invest in the construction of the second phase of its R&D and production base in Wuhan East Lake Development Zone. It intends to expand its original photovoltaic equipment business – the research, development and production of existing high-end photovoltaic equipment such as laser ablation equipment and laser doping equipment; and also apply laser technology to develop its laser display repair equipment. Last year, Laser LIA equipment from DR Laser for HJT high-efficiency cell production lines were shipped to Europe (see China PV News Snippets: Clenergy, DR Laser, SP Group, Jinko)

JYT PV installed capacity reached 1.2 GW in 2021: JYT Corporation New Energy Power Generation Division has released the main operating data of photovoltaics for the year 2021. As of December 31, 2021, the photovoltaic installed capacity of the company stood at 1244.74 MW or 1.2 GW.

Autowell Technology releases 2021 results forecast: Automation equipment manufacturer Autowell Technology has released the 2021 annual performance forecast. The company expects the net profit attributable to owners of the parent company in 2021 to be between RMB 326.5 million to RMB 342 million ($51.40 million to $53.84 million). Compared with the same period of the previous year, this will be an increase of RMB 171.14 million to RMB 186.64 million ($26.94 million to $29.38 million) – an increase of 110.16% to 120.14% year-on-year. The reason for this substantial increase in business revenue can be attributed to high demand from downstream customers, and the enhancement of the company's ultra-high-speed large-size stringers and wafer inspection system.
