CECEP Solar to raise RMB 6 bn for 1.12 GW PV power plants: In an announcement, CECEP Solar Energy Technology, a holding subsidiary of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP), released a proposal for non-public offering of shares. The company intends to raise funds up to RMB 6 billion ($0.93 billion) for the construction of photovoltaic power station projects, and supplementary working capital. The PV plants will include 300 MW PV composite power generation project in Binhai Taiping Town, 100 MW forest and light PV project in Yongxin Luxi, and other PV power plant projects, totalling to 1.128 GW. Mingyang's signs 5 GW HJT project with Yancheng government: Clean energy integrated solution provider Mingyang Smart Energy has signed a 5 GW heterojunction PV cell project agreement with Yancheng Economic Development Zone. The project is worth an investment of RMB 5 billion ($0.78 billion), and has a planned capacity of 2.5 GW in the first phase. The average conversion efficiency is expected to be more than 24.5% once the project is put into production.
