DAS Solar's 5 GW PV Production Base Starts Construction; Warom To Develop 150 MW Solar & Agri Projects; JSG Released 2021 Semi-Annual Results Forecast

DAS Solar's 5 GW PV module production base starts construction: The construction of Chinese solar PV module and cell supplier DAS Solar's Pingshuo's 5 GW module production project has begun. This project, co-operated by DAS Solar technology (Quzhou), China Coal Pingshuo Development Group and other companies, has an investment exceeding RMB 1 billion ($0.15 billion). The project will be carried out in two phases – first a 2 GW production capacity, which is scheduled to be officially put into production on December 2021. The full production should be online in mid 2022.

Warom to develop 150 MW solar & agri projects: In an announcement, Warom Technology expressed its intent to set up a wholly-owned subsidiary, Zhengtuo New Energy, for an investment of RMB 10 million ($1.55 million). Zhengtuo is being established specifically for the application of a 150 MW agricultural photovoltaic complementary power generation project in Baozhuangzi, Shandong Weifang Binhai Economic and Technological Development Zone.

JSG releases 2021 semi-annual results forecast: C-Si crystallization equipment provider JSG  released its H1/2021  results forecast, showing it achieved a net profit attributable to its shareholders of RMB 553 million ($85.57 million) to RMB 636 million ($98.42 million). This is an increase of 100% to 130% over the same period of the previous year. The performance is due to the continuous expansion of wafer manufacturers, it said. The impact of non-recurring gains and losses on net profit is expected to be approximately RMB 54 million ($8.36 million) to RMB 56 million ($8.67 million).
