Solar power growth rate declines in April 2021 in China: In an announcement, The National Bureau of Statistics of China released the energy production report of April 2021. As per the report, in April, thermal power, hydropower, nuclear power and wind power maintained growth, where on year-on-year, thermal power grew by 12.5%, hydropower by 3.3%, nuclear power by 5.2%, and wind power by 21.1%. However, solar power showed a decline in growth by 6.4%.

GoodWe and Shaanxi sign strategic cooperation agreement: Solar inverter manufacturer and energy storage solutions manufacturer GoodWe and Shaanxi Jidian signed a strategic cooperation agreement, where both parties will give full play to their respective advantages in capital, technology, products, government coordination, and carry out in-depth cooperation in the development of new energy projects, purchase of inverters and energy storage equipment.

Jinergy & Fukang sign 3 GW wind & solar project: Jinneng Holding Group (Jinergy) and the People's Municipal Government of Fukang City in Xinjiang signed a framework agreement for the development of 3 GW wind and solar clean energy power generation project for a total investment of RMB 16 billion ($2.49 billion).

J.S.Machine & GCL promote Perovskite Tandem Cells industrialization: J.S.Machine's wholly-owned subsidiary – SC SOLAR – and Kunshan GCL Photoelectric Materials Co., Ltd. have signed a technology cooperation development agreement for perovskite tandem cells. As per the agreement, both parties will continue to carry out in-depth strategic cooperation in the field of perovskite tandem cells, giving full play to their respective advantages in technology and equipment, and jointly developing processes and related equipment for perovskite tandem cells.
