GoodWe joins 600W+ PV innovation ecological alliance: At the 8th Guangdong Photovoltaic Forum, PV inverter and energy storage solutions manufacturer GoodWe formally joined the 600W+ photovoltaic open innovation ecological alliance. The company was also awarded the license by the Alliance Secretariat. Inverter companies have gone a step further in adapting high-current components, bringing more choices to the market. Meanwhile, GoodWe models have begun to introduce 20A current product solutions, that can fully meet the access of 600W+ high-power components and guarantee high-current access. In July 2020, Trina Solar announced formation of the alliance as a concerted effort from 39 companies in the field of solar PV, among them several market leaders, to steer the industry towards 600W+ solar module technology adoption (see 39 PV Firms Back 600 W+ Solar PV Modules).

Trina's 210 Vertex, Vertex S orders exceed 2 GW: Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar said in an announcement that the total volume of the orders for its distributed products Vertex 500 W and Vertex S 405 W have surpassed 2 GW. In addition, the first batch of the Vertex S modules has arrived in Europe recently for mass installation in thousands of project sites. It was in February 2020 that Trina Solar launched the distributed Vertex 500 W module based on 210 technology, as MBB, non-destructive cutting and high-density cell interconnection product. Last summer, Trina Solar's Klaus Hofmeister had presented design intricacies and benefits of the New Vertex Module Series Generation and also discussed System Level Optimization needs at TaiyangNews 500W+ Virtual Conference (see TaiyangNews 500W+ Conference: Trina Solar)

China's JinkoSolar captures 22% market share in India: Data from Chinese market research firm Gessey Consulting shows that JinkoSolar has ranked first in the Indian market in 2020 (see JinkoSolar ranks 1st in India's PV module market ranking), hitting the highest market share of 22%, the module supplier said in an announcement. This is 6%  points higher than the second place. The reason behind JinkoSolar's growing popularity can be attributed to its product strategy, where the company focused on mid-to-high end of the monocrystalline bifacial market, according to the company. For instance, its Tiger Pro, JinkoSolar's flagship module series for 2020 designed for the mid-to-high end of the market went on to become one of the top PV modules in the Indian market. This product was also responsible for the transformation of the Indian market from a highly price-sensitive poly-crystalline market to a high performance, high efficiency mono-crystalline bifacial market, claims JinkoSolar.
