JA Solar's 3.5 GW Vietnam factory put into production: Chinese vertically integrated solar module manufacturer JA Solar said in an announcement that its annual 3.5 GW high-power module factory in Vietnam has been officially put into production. A total investment of RMB 700 million ($109 million) was put into the fab, which mainly produces its DeepBlue 3.0 high-power modules. Recently, the company, in its annual report for 2020 revealed it had shipped 15.88 GW solar PV modules in 2020 (including for self-use) out of which 68.3% accounted for overseas shipments (see JA To Up Module Capacity to 40 GW By Year End). Jiayu subsidiary bags BYD's RMB 275 million PV module order: Jiayu Group announced that its subsidiary Xuzhou Jiayu Solar Technology Co., Ltd. has signed a solar module sales contract with Shenzhen BYD Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of BYD. The tentative total price of the contract is RMB 275 million ($42. million). Last year, Jiayu and Shenzhen BYD Supply Chain Management had signed a RMB 116 million module deal (see China PV Snippets: JA Solar, Longi, Sungrow, Jiayu Solar)
CNNC signs 2 GW agreement with Tongxin, Ningxia and Yingli Energy: CNNC Rich Energy Corporation, Ningxia Tongxin County People's Government and Yingli Energy have signed an investment agreement for 2 GW high-efficiency photovoltaic module intelligent manufacturing production project of Ningxia Tongxin (CNNC Rich Energy Corporation) Clean Energy Industrial Park. With this, CNNC Rich Energy can further leverage its advantages in the integration of the clean energy industry chain.
