JinkoSolar optimistic about N-type TOPCon: Module supplier JinkoSolar is optimistic about N-type TOPCon technology because of its satisfactory yield rate and cost, the company said in an announcement. The latest record high-cell efficiency of N-type is 25.25% while the mass scale production offers 24.5%, and output power with 182mm wafer of up to 620 W. The company also confirmed that it has started high volume production with good yields of N-type TOPCon technology, which is projected to provide significant benefits when it comes to performance, power, reliability and capacity scaling.

Beyondsun & Qinghai partner for RMB 24.5 bn project: PV module manufacturer Beyondsun and the Qinghai Haixi Prefecture Government have formally signed a project agreement worth RMB 24.5 billion ($3.78 billion). The first phase of the project, which spans across 2021-2022, will see the construction of a 500 MW photovoltaic power station. Recently, Beyondsun signed a strategic agreement with Ukraine's new energy project EPC contractor Rodina Energy Group to supply 1.2 GW PV modules (see China PV News Snippets: LONGi, Beyondsun, Jinko)

Sinopec Yunnan to complete 96 PV plants by 2021: Since 2021, Sinopec Yunnan Oil Products Company, a direct sales company of the Sinopec Group, has focused on accelerating the deployment of new energy, implementing a new development concept, and speeding up the construction of solar power stations. As of August, the company has invested in 19 photovoltaic power stations with an installed capacity of 1,135 kW. It now plans to build 16 smart integrated energy stations, 96 photovoltaic power stations, and 48 charging stations this year. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the company plans to invest RMB 175 million ($27.01 million) to build 500 photovoltaic systems, with a total installed capacity of about 25 MW, and an average single station installed capacity of about 50 KW.

Linyang & Shandong partner for distributed PV station: Electricity meter company Linyang Energy and Guanxian People's Government have signed an agreement to promote distributed photovoltaics. While the Guanxian Government will provide and coordinate various roof resources for Linyang Energy, the company will actively participate in a distributed photovoltaic project of Guanxian County, and is expected to construct a 200 MW distributed photovoltaic power station.

Jinneng to invest RMB 4.37 bn to build a 1 GW fishery & PV project: Jinneng Science and Technology Company announced that its subsidiary Jinneng Chemical (Qingdao) intends to invest RMB 4.37 billion ($0.67 billion) to build a 1 GW fishery and photovoltaic power generation project. Located in Qingdao, the 1 GW offshore photovoltaic power generation device will support 100MW/200MW energy storage facilities.
