JinkoSolar Tiger Pro Order Book Exceeds 2 GW; Another Brazil Order For Risen Energy; Concord Selling PV & Wind Project For RMB 576 Million; Strategic Agreement Between DuPont & SPIC Huanghe Hydropower

2 GW Tiger Pro orders for JinkoSolar: JinkoSolar says since the official launch of its next generation Tiger Pro solar modules on May 15, 2020, its order book for this series now exceeds 2 GW. The company claims 21.4% module efficiency for this  module product under its Tiger series. By the end of 2020, JinkoSolar aims to achieve 30 GW of cumulative annual module production capacity. Back in June 2020, JinkoSolar's Vice President Dany Qian provided background in an interview with TaiyangNews about the technological advantages of the 580 W Tiger Pro modules (see Targeting Utility Scale Market With Tiger Pro Modules). Risen Energy to supply 160 MW to Brazil: Risen Energy will be shipping its 160 MW solar modules to Brazil. It will be ship 100 MW of 445 W monocrystalline solar modules, while 60 MW will be supplied as 340 W polycrystalline solar modules. It needs to ship the order by the end of January 2021. Recently, the company signed up for a 54 MW module supply for Brazil (see China PV News Snippets: Panda, Risen, Qinghai).

Concord New Energy to sell solar and wind plants: Concord New Energy is selling 2 solar PV and 3 wind power plants in China following its build and sale strategy in order to achieve more attractive investment returns while increasing its cash flow. It includes a 40 MW solar project in Shandong province and a 20 MW project in Hebei province. It aims to raise RMB 576 million ($84.6 million), reported Zhitong Finance Network.

DuPont-SPIC strategic cooperation agreement for PV: DuPont and State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) Huanghe Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. have entered a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly work for advanced photovoltaic research and development. It is an improved version of their existing cooperation. Their cooperation goes a long way back and includes joint development of a high efficiency double sided module using DuPont's Tedlar PVF transparent backsheet. Huanghe has widely used this product for several of its projects.

"The new version of the agreement surpasses the previous laboratory-level and power-plant level cooperation," said Chairman of SPIC Huanghe Company, Xie Xiaoping. "It not only provides multi-disciplinary and forward-looking technical support for the construction of two multi-energy complementary clean energy bases in Hainan and Haixi, but also in the new Exploring the construction of an ecological chain system for the healthy development of the energy industry."
