JinkoSolar signs 100 MW module supply deal with Pakistan: Module supplier JinkoSolar has signed a 100 MW module supply deal, forging a long-term development partnership with Pakistani solar firm AE Power. As per this agreement, JinkoSolar will be marketing and distributing its Tiger and Tiger Pro 530 / 535W modules in Pakistan in 2021, the company said. Since the official launch of its next generation Tiger Pro solar modules on May 15, 2020, JinkoSolar's order book for this series had exceeded 2 GW within few months (see China PV News Snippets: JinkoSolar, Risen, Concord, DuPont). Till date, the company has supplied up to 30 MW of its Tiger Pro modules to Pakistan. In 2021, the company has plans to double production of the Tiger Pro series, as it completes the first 10 GW phase of a new solar cell manufacturing base in Yunnan Province, China.

Sungrow signs supply agreement for Brazil's 852 MW PV Plant: Solar PV inverter supplier Sungrow has signed a supply agreement with Focus Energia to supply inverters and MV stations for the implementation of the first phase of the Futura Project, which is an 852 MW solar park that will soon be in operation in Latin America. In the first phase of the project, about 2,000 hectares have been allotted for 22 parks with 38.73 MW each. The location of the project is about 40 km from the urban center of Juazeiro, in the north of the State of Bahia. Upon completion, its total capacity will be approximately 852 MWp, with an estimated investment of more than RMB 2.5 billion ($0.38 billion). In addition to the commissioning and start-up service, Sungrow plans to supply more than 100 MVS6300-LV transformation stations and over 3,000 SG250HX inverters. The Futura I Project will be the largest photovoltaic plant under construction in Latin America with bifacial modules, trackers, and string inverters.

Power generation capacity of Kong Sun PV plants from Jan to Feb 2021 at 243 GWh: Investment group Kong Sun Holdings Limited announced that its solar power plants have generated electricity in an aggregate volume of approximately 243 GWh from January to February 2021, as compared to the 196 GWh aggregate volume of electricity generated from the corresponding power plants for the corresponding period last year. The total installed capacity of the Group was 1.1 GW as on 28 February 2021.

Canadian Solar sells 61 MW solar plants in Japan to CSIF: Canada headquartered Chinese solar power company Canadian Solar Inc. made an announcement that it has completed the sale of two operational projects totaling to 61 MW to Canadian Solar Infrastructure Fund (CSIF) for RMB 1.83 billion ($0.28 billion), a Photovoltaic Network News report said. In 2017, Canadian Solar launched the initial public offering of CSIF and listed its stock units on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. CSIF was the first global IPO of a Japanese infrastructure fund. Canadian Solar had participated in the transaction and continues to hold approximately 15% of CSIF shares.  Earlier this year, Canadian Solar and Macquarie Group Partner had raised RMB 1.32 billion ($0.2 billion) to build and accumulate new solar projects in Japan (see Canadian Solar & Macquarie To Fund Japanese Projects)
