Kibing net profit in H-1/ 2021 expected to rise by 316% to 360%: Solar glass manufacturer Kibing Group released a 2021 semi-annual performance profit alert announcement, stating that the company expects to achieve a net profit attributable to shareholders to the tune of RMB 2.1 billion ($0.32 billion) to RMB 2.2 billion ($0.34 billion) in the half-year of 2021. Compared with the same period previous year, where the profit was between RMB 1.5 billion ($0.23 billion) to RMB 1.8 billion ($0.28 billion), this would be an increase of 316% to 360%. The reason for this growth can be attributed to the tight balance of glass supply and demand in Q1 as well as the change in glass demand structure, which promoted the overall profitability of the glass industry. JinkoPower partners with Feidong & Anhui for 2 GW PV & wind projects: PV power plant operator JinkoPower released news about an agreement signed with Feidong County People's Government of Anhui Province about 2 GW PV and wind power plant projects. As per the agreement, JinkoPower will develop and construct 1.5 GW PV and 0.5 GW wind power projects for an investment of RMB 12 billion ($1.85 billion). Shunfeng 2.5 GW PERC project put into production: Jiangsu Shunfeng PV Technology's 2.5 GW monocrystalline PERC cell production factory started production in Wujin National High-tech Zone, Changzhou City in Jiangsu Province, a local government website said. The total investment of the project is RMB 480 million ($74.14 million).
Three Gorges Water Conservancy & Chongqing sign 450 MW PV project agreement: Three Gorges Water Conservancy announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary – Chongqing Liangjiang Comprehensive Energy Service – has signed a PV project investment and development agreement with the Wuxi County Government of Chongqing City. According to the agreement, Three Gorges Water Conservancy will develop a 450 MW PV project in Wuxi County for RMB 1.8 billion ($0.28 billion). Construction of the first 200 MW will start in December 2021. This part, which will cost about RMB 800 million ($123.57 million), will be completed by the end of July 2022. Installation begin for the remaining 250 MW is scheduled for 2022.
Qingdao Gaoce to build 10 GW silicon wafer fab: Wafer production equipment maker Qingdao Gaoce Technology will invest in the construction of a 10 GW monocrystalline silicon wafer production project in Jianhu High-tech Zone in Jiangsu Province. The total investment of this project is estimated to be RMB 700 million ($108.12 million) with plans to launch production in 2022.
