Levima Advanced Materials 2020 annual report out: Levima Advanced Materials Co., Ltd., the main enterprise in the advanced material sector of Lenovo Holding Co., Ltd., recently released its annual report. As per the report, the company has achieved an operating income of RMB 5.9 billion ($0.90 billion), an increase of 4.53% year-on-year. Levima produces different polymers, among others EVA. In 2020, it produced 131,300 tons, and its capacity utilization rate was 108.49%, an increase of 3.61% year-on-year. Parts of EVA is used for solar. With strong growth of domestic solar film demand in H2/2020, Levima increased production output, resulting in annual sales volume growth of about 48% compared to 2019.
Qingdao and Golmud to develop 500 MW PV power plant: Domestic wind turbine tower equipment manufacturer and supplier Qingdao Tianneng Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. announced that it has signed a cooperation framework agreement with the People's Government of Golmud. The company plans to invest in a 500 MW PV power generation project in Golmud City with an estimated total investment of RMB 1.75 billion ($0.27 billion). Last year, Qingdao Tianneng along with the Government's of Wuchuan County have signed a framework agreement to develop 300 MW of wind power and 200 MW of solar PV capacity in the county for an estimated amount of RMB 2.6 billion ($374 million). Shanghai Moen establishes wholly-owned subsidiary: Shanghai Moen Electric Equipment Co., Ltd., in an announcement said that it has completed the industrial and commercial registration procedures for the establishment of a wholly-owned subsidiary, called Shanghai Motai New Energy Co., Ltd. it will use its own funds to invest RMB 100 million ($15.28 million) in the subsidiary. Shanghai Moen is mainly engaged in technical services in the field of new energy technology; solar power generation technical services; photovoltaic equipment and components sales; solar thermal power generation products sales.
Haiyuan raises RMB 300 million for 3 GW high-efficiency modules: Haiyuan announced plans to raise no more than RMB 272 million ($41.57 million) in additional funds to be used for its new 3 GW high-efficiency module production line of Xinyu Saiwei Power Technology Co. Ltd., (Phase II) and supplementary working capital. The production of the 3 GW high-efficiency modules may involve the development and production of heterojunction photovoltaic cells in the future.
Longyuan announces 100 MW module purchase bidding results: China Longyuan Power Group announced the winning candidate for the procurement of modules for the 100 MW tidal and PV complementary power plant in Jiangxia, Wenling, Zhejiang Province, a PVMen report said. The winner was Chint Solar with a total price of RMB 172 billion ($26.29 billion) and a unit price of RMB 1.73/W ($0.26/W). The project tender asked for P-type monocrystalline PERC double-glass bifacial half-cell module (with frame) with power ratings of 530 W or more.
