LONGi announces monocrystalline wafer prices: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi announced the latest quotation for monocrystalline silicon wafers – all sizes remain unchanged. The price of 158.75mm monocrystalline silicon wafers is at RMB 3.15 /piece ($0.49. piece), while the price of 166mm monocrystalline silicon wafers is RMB 3.25/piece ($0.50/ piece), and the 182mm monocrystalline silicon wafers is priced at RMB 3.9 /piece ($0.60/ piece). Last year, LONGi had pushed the prices down several times and later increased them owing to silicon shortage and the resulting price rise. In early January, LONGi had announced Jan 2021 wafer pricing (see China PV News Snippets: Trina, LONGi, JA)

Jinko and Huaneng Jiangxi sign 2 GW PV project agreement: Jinko Technology, Huaneng Jiangxi Clean Energy Co., Ltd. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Huaneng Group) and Fengcheng City, Jiangxi Province successfully signed a 2 GW PV project investment cooperation agreement, Jinko Technology stated in an announcement. The project will be constructed in four phases, with a total investment of approximately RMB 8.8 billion ($1.36 billion). After completion, its installed capacity is expected to be about 2 GW.

Goodwe inverter supports 45 MW Linyang plant get grid-connected: Linyang New Energy Gouyun Bailu Feizhan ground power plant is a 2019 grid parity project with complete grid access mode, which uses Goodwe's 1500V ultra-high power GW225K-HT intelligent PV inverter. The project, with a total installed capacity of 45 MW, has been recently connected to the grid for power generation and the maximum conversion efficiency of the product has been 99.0%.

Guiguan Power to invest in floating solar park: Guiguan Power announced that its holding subsidiary will be building the first phase of a floating solar park in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The park will have an installed capacity of 133.22 MW (100 MW on AC side) and a total dynamic investment of about RMB 465 million ($71.90 million). The construction period will be about 5 months, and the feed-in tariff will be RMB 0.4211/kW-h after the project is completed and put into operation.

Chint Electric 2020 net profit rises by 70.46% to 86.4%: Specialized subsidiary of the CHINT group, Chint Electric, released an announcement stating that its net profit in 2020 will be about RMB 6 billion to RMB 7 billion ($0.93 billion to $1.08 billion).
