  • Wind, hydro and solar power helped Qinghai province increase its clean energy generation by 6.7% in H1/2020 to 37.18 billion kWh
  • Shanghai Electric string inverters have been deployed for a 120 MW agrovoltaic solar project
  • Anhui Conch has solicited a call for monocrystalline silicon PV modules for 2 solar projects

Qinghai Province renewables generated 37.18 billion kWh in H1/2020: Clean energy sources wind, hydro and solar power helped Qinghai Province generate 6.7% more clean energy in the first 6 months of 2020 to a total of 37.18 billion kWh, as per Qinghai Energy Bureau. These sources accounted for 85.7% of the entire province's power generation. At the end of June 2020, the western province had a total of 28 GW of clean energy connected to the grid accounting for 88% of the region's total installed power generation capacity.

Shanghai Electric PV inverters for 120 MW agrovoltaic project: Shanghai Electric has supplied its 175 kW 1500V string inverters for a 120 MW agrovoltaic solar project in Guizhou Pu'an to an unidentified customer. The company claims up to 98.5% efficiency for this series leading to the formation of a 3.15 MW large-capacity sub array helping reduce the cost ratio of DC-side cables, reducing line losses and saving construction costs.

Mono C-Si PV module procurement: Through the China Tendering Information Network, Anhui Conch New Energy has issued a call to procure and install monocrystalline silicon PV modules for 2 PV projects of 9.2 MW and 14.7 MW capacity in H2/2020. The total capacity it seeks through this call is about 50 MW of 440 W modules. Eligible bidders must have annual production capacity of over 5 GW and its cumulative shipment of monocrystalline products should have exceeded 5 GW as well.
