Sunova Releases Sol Series 182 Half-Cell Modules; GCL Sells 50 MW PV Power Plant To Beijing United Rongbang; Kong Sun Holdings To Sell Jiangshan Yongchen For RMB 1.17 Bn

Sunova releases Sol series 182 half-cell modules: Sunova Solar has released a new generation of Sol series 182 half-cell modules with a maximum power of 590 W and a module conversion efficiency of 21.6%. These series modules are based on PERC technology and adopt a multi-busbar, combined with a half-cell structure design. The modules are expected to increase power and effectively reduce levelized cost of energy to meet customer needs.

GCL sells 50 MW PV power plant to Beijing United Rongbang:  GCL New Energy announced that its indirect subsidiary Suzhou GCL New Energy and Beijing United Rongbang New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. have entered into a photovoltaic power plant share purchase agreement. The company intends to sell the PV power station with a grid-connected capacity of about 50 MW for RMB 202 million ($30.93 million). Meanwhile last month, GCL had sold 1.1 GW power stations to China Huaneng Group (see China PV News Snippets: GCL, Yingli, Jinjing, Suzhou Run).

Jinko at WEF China Roundtable: JinkoSolar was a the only photovoltaic company to have been invited to attend the China Business Roundtable, hosted by the World Economic Forum. Discussions revolved around how China is striving to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. Speaking at the event, Vice President of JinkoSolar, Qian Jing, pointed out how the photovoltaic industry can help achieve this goal and said that the PV industry will usher in a new round of outbreak period. To achieve carbon neutrality, the most important thing is to start with changing the power generation method, Qian emphasized.

Kong Sun Holdings to sell Jiangshan Yongchen for RMB 1.17 bn: Kong Sun Holdings Limited announced that it will be selling its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Jiangshan Yongchen New Energy, for an amount of RMB 1.17 billion ($.18 billion).  Jiangshan Yongchen is mainly engaged in development, construction and operation projects.
