Yicheng to invest in subsidiary to develop distributed PV plants: As per a Photovoltaic Network News report, Yicheng New Energy announced that the company's wholly-owned subsidiary Henan Zhongyuan Golden Sun Technology Co., Ltd. and two other companies intend to jointly fund the establishment of Henan Xucheng New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of RMB 50 million ($7.63 million). Henan Zhongyuan contributed RMB 30 million ($4.58 million) in cash, accounting for 60% of the company's registered capital. This investment will establish a subsidiary company to build distributed photovoltaic power stations in the Pingdingshan High-tech Zone.

JinkoSolar ranks 1st in module shipments in Vietnam: The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the official website of Clean Energy Associate, Vietnam Energy Online, released a market report on Vietnam's module shipments in 2020. The report shows that JinkoSolar has ranked first in the Vietnamese photovoltaic market with a sales volume of more than 2.5 GW. The data also shows that Vietnam's total annual installed capacity in 2020 is 13.4 GW, of which 9.205 GW of rooftop installed capacity comes from rooftop projects. JinkoSolar's annual shipments exceeded 2.5 GW, ranking first with a market share of over 18%. Recently, Gessey Consulting and other reports showed that JinkoSolar has also ranked first in the Indian market in 2020 (see JinkoSolar ranks 1st in India's PV module market ranking)

Average conversion efficiency of Akcome's HJT cells reaches 24.2%: Chinese technology company Jiangsu Akcome Science & Technology announced that its iCell Heterojunction Cells for the 220 MW Heterojunction cell production project Phase I at the Huzhou Base of Akcome Technology has entered mass production. It claims that the average conversion efficiency of the best batch of high-efficiency heterojunction cells touches 24.2%. At present, the production speed of Ikang's Huzhou base has increased to 1,200 pieces per hour, and is expected to gradually increase in the later period. Last year, Akcome and Taixing High-Tech Zone had partnered to build a 6 GW solar cell/module HJT fab (see China PV News Snippets: Akcome, Concord, Shanxi Coal)
