Zhonghuan, China Huaneng and TCL partner for R&D on solar systems using large-size wafer based modules: One of China's leading mono solar wafer manufacturers Zhonghuan Semiconductor announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with China Huaneng and TCL Technology. The three parties look forward to jointly build a new energy base in Tianjin, and will carry out research and development to further strengthen large-size solar silicon wafers and photovoltaic module technologies. They will focus on developing intelligent control system for photovoltaic power stations, and provide technical support for intelligent operation and maintenance of these power stations through remote control. Through all these efforts, they intend to further reduce the construction cost of photovoltaic power stations, its operation and maintenance costs. Few days ago, Zhonghuan had announced issued a proposal for technological innovation and product specification innovation to reduce the cost of silicon materials (see China PV News Snippets: LONGi, Zhonghuan, Chint, Trina)

Sumin Renewable enters HJT solar cells field: Solar cell manufacturer Sumin Renewable Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Jiaotong University will establish Shanghai Jiaotong University-Nantong Sumin Heterojunction Research Institute and will build a heterojunction experimental line as soon as possible. In an announcement, Sumin said that it will make complete use of the research institute to develop heterojunction technology, promote the localization of key auxiliary materials for heterojunction batteries, and complete the initial accumulation of technology. The institute will also be used to conduct mass production evaluation and mass production of heterojunction cells.
