Talesun to supply 127 MW to CPV in the US: In an announcement, Chinese solar PV company Talesun Solar said that it has signed an agreement with electric power generation development and asset management company, Competitive Power Ventures (CPV), for 127 MW PV module supply to Maple Hill Solar, a solar power generation facility in Portage Township, Pennsylvania State.  Recently, Talesun had partnered with SPIC Hubei for new energy projects (see China PV Snippets:Talesun, YourBest, Taixing, NEA,Antaisolar)

Shuangliang subsidiary signs RMB 2.18 bn contract: China headquartered solar PV production equipment maker Shuangliang Eco-Energy has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Shuangliang Silicon Materials (Baotou) has signed a construction contract with China National Chemical Engineering Third Construction. The contract involves the construction and installation of the company's 40 GW monocrystalline silicon wafer production project in Baotou, with a contract value of RMB 2.18 billion ($0.34 billion). The construction will be completed in phases. In March this year, Shuangliang had announced its plans to venture into solar wafer and ingot production through a new company called Shuangliang Silicon Materials (Baotou) Co., Ltd. JinkoSolar sales to Australian market cross 3.2 GW: Module supplier JinkoSolar, in an announcement, said that the shipments to Australia have crossed 3.2 GW in May 2021. JinkoSolar said it was one of the first global manufacturers to ship the 370 W power class to Australia, which has since become the standard go-to panel for the industry.  Likewise, it had shipped transparent backsheet bifacial panels at scale, and offered a full range of N type modules to Australia. Last year, the National Australia Bank had approved AUD 37 million ($22.45 million) line of credit for one-year to JinkoSolar to expand its business and supplement its working capital in Australia (see JinkoSolar Secures Financing To Expand Australia Business)

CNNC & CATL subsidiary to establish RMB 100 mn JV: CNNC Hua Yuan Titanium Dioxide has signed a contract with the holding subsidiary of CATL – Times Yongfu Technology – to jointly fund the establishment of Baiyin China Nuclear Times New Energy. This joint venture (JV) will focus on promoting the investment, construction and operation of integrated intelligent new energy projects such as photovoltaic, wind power and energy storage. The registered capital of the JV company is RMB 100 million ($15.71 million), of which CNNC and Times Yongfu each has subscribed RMB 50 million ($7.85 million) in capital, each holding 50% of the joint venture company. The new company also intends to invest in and operate centralized large-scale ground mounted PV power plants, distributed rooftop solar systems, and onshore wind power projects in Gansu Province.
