Huasun launches Everest G12R rectangular cell HJT modules: Heterojunction (HJT) solar PV manufacturer Huasun Energy has announced the launch of Everest G12R, its rectangular HJT solar module series. These modules are based on the HJT 3.0 high-efficiency solar cell technology and feature 182 mm * 105 mm rectangular cells. The series offers features like a bifacial microcrystalline structure, SMBB, light conversion film and PIB. The modules are designed to achieve a minimum efficiency of 23% and a power output of 640 W, 20W more than other rectangular modules of the same type. The Everest G12R series is available in 3 different versions:

  • G12R-96 for residential applications with maximum power of 460 W and efficiency of 23.02%
  • G12R-108 for the C&I segment with maximum power of 520 W and efficiency of 23.40%
  • G12R-132 for utility-scale applications with maximum power of 640 W and efficiency of 23.69%

Huasun is ranked among the top 3 in TaiyangNews Top Modules List since September 2023 (see Top Solar Modules Listing – November 2023). Recently, Huasun announced the successful completion of its RMB 2 billion ($279.5 million) Series C funding round (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

Nantong Riyixin to set up 1 GW PV module recycling plant: A company focused on recycling, Nantong Riyixin Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., has announced that it has signed an agreement to set up a 1 GW PV module recycling plant. The plant will be built at a cost of RMB 200 million ($27.9 million) in the Dongying Economic and Technological Development Zone. The Dongying Economic and Technological Development Zone and Dongying Energy Group Co., Ltd., are the other 2 parties that part of the strategic cooperation agreement. The plant adopts the "physical + wet" process of PV module intelligent regeneration technology for the recycling of the modules. Once at full capacity, it is expected to recycle 4 million PV modules annually.

Huitian New Material plans to expand PV organic silica gel facility: Solar backsheet maker Huitian New Material has announced that it plans to expand its organic silica gel manufacturing facility. The company plans to invest about RMB 36 million ($5 million) in self-raised funds to build a new fully automatic screw production line while increasing the production capacity of silicone sealants by about 44,000 tons per year. The project is expected to be completed and put into production by the end of June 2024.

Sveck launches Albatross special packaging film for offshore PV: Encapsulation material manufacturer Sveck has launched its Albatross series of encapsulation products aimed at offshore PV. Calling it the industry's first offshore encapsulation film, the company says that the film's reliability in the marine environment has been confirmed and certified by CPVT. The product is said to be able to effectively deal with problems such as salt spray corrosion, high ultraviolet rays, and high humidity and heat. Modules encapsulated with the Albatross film have been successfully connected to the grid in China's first deep-sea FPV demonstration base, and have maintained efficient and smooth operation. The film is compatible with various types of modules such as PERC, TOPCon, HJT and BC, and is based on the chloride ion intercalation technology. The company claims it effectively prevents chemical corrosion and chloride ion penetration, further improving the water vapor and salt spray resistance of PV modules.
