LONGi Solar on Day 4 of TaiyangNews Annual Flagship Event: LONGi Solar's R&D Chief Engineer Heng Sun will participate in Part 2 of TaiyangNews annual flagship event – a Virtual Conference on High Efficiency Solar Technologies – Today, Tomorrow and Beyond, scheduled for December 19/20 from 09:30 – 13:00 CET.

SolarSpace receives approval for IPO: The Shenzhen Stock Exchange has announced that Jiangsu SolarSpace Technology Co., Ltd. meets the issuance conditions, listing and disclosure requirements for its IPO. For 9M 2023, SolarSpace's operating income increased 111.70%YoY to RMB 17.926 billion ($2.51 billion). The non-GAAP net profit attributable to the parent company reached RMB 1.934 billion ($271.1 million), representing a YoY growth of 360.19%. PV Infolink ranks the company's solar cell shipments 3rd globally for H1 2023. As of the end of June 2023, Solar Space has a solar cell production capacity of 45.04 GW, and is projected to expand to over 50 GW by the end of 2023.
LONGi's Jiaxing facility selected as 'Lighthouse Factory': The World Economic Forum (WEF) has announced LONGi's Jiaxing facility among the latest additions to its 'Lighthouse Factory' list. The company is one among the 21 new members added to WEF's global network of lighthouse factories. LONGi is also the sole entrant from the global solar PV industry, making its facility the world's first in the sector. The facility, which utilizes technologies such as IoT, big data, AI, etc., manufactures the company's HPBC products. The adoption of these technologies is said to have enhanced the company's product reliability while shortening its delivery cycles by up to 84%.
Cando Solar's 0BB HJT modules deliver >5% average power gain over PERC: Cando Solar has announced that its busbar-less (0BB) BIG ECO series 55-type heterojunction (HJT) modules achieved an average power gain of 5.17% compared with traditional PERC products of similar power. The power generation performance monitoring and comparison experiments were conducted at the outdoor demonstration base in Haikou City, Hainan Province of the Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences since April 2023. The company says that its 0BB modules achieved the highest average power gain of 6.02% in May 2023.
Sany Silicon's Zhuzhou PV base online: Sany Silicon Energy has announced that it has brought online its Zhuzhou 5 GW photovoltaic manufacturing base. The company says that that project was completed and put into operation in just 152 days. The 110,000 sq. m. base, located in Qingshuitang Industrial New City, Shifeng District, is spread over 350 acres. The company has invested RMB 1.22 billion ($170.9 million) in the facility that will produce 650 million TOPCon cells annually. It is expected to generate RMB 3 billion ($420.3 million) in revenues once complete and at full capacity. Sany Silicon Energy announced the rollout of its 1st n-type TOPCon solar cell manufactured at the Zhuzhou base in October this year (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
Yunnan Province announces 7.95 GW fully connected new energy project list: The Energy Bureau of Yunnan Province has released the 1st batch of the 2023 New Energy Project Fully Connected Capacity Time Determination List. The list contains information on 89 projects, including their names, capacities, and fully connected capacity time. The total combined scale of these projects is 9.75 GW. Solar PV projects take the lion's share with 76 solar with a cumulative capacity of 6.86 GW, while wind power projects total 13 in number with 2.90 MW of capacity.
