JinkoSolar supplies 20.64 MWh ESS and PV power station to Jinan Fenghui; Tongwei wins bid for 352 MW module procurement; JA Solar to provide 600 MW solar modules to Pakistan; China aims to bolster renewable energy bases; Leadmicro Nano ships 1st 100 MW perovskite ALD equipment.

JinkoSolar's 20.64 MWh ESS for Jinan Fenghui Technology: JinkoSolar has signed a deal with Jinan Fenghui Technology Co., Ltd. to supply 20.64 MWh large-scale grid-connected liquid-cooled energy storage system (ESS) and photovoltaic (PV) power station. The company will provide 6 SunTera container-type large-scale ESS of 3.44 MWh each to the project located in Putian City, Fujian Province. The system integrates JinkoSolar's core circulating liquid cooling technology with features such as intelligent temperature control, cluster-level management, insulation monitoring, and 5-level safety protection. It says that each system can realize cloud platform data sharing during independent operation, improving stability and efficiency.

Last month, JinkoSolar announced that it has supplied 6 MWh liquid-cooled ESS for a 6 MW / 6 MWh project in Beidou, Taishan City (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

Tongwei announced preliminary winner of 352 MW module bid: Tongwei Solar has been announced as the preliminary winner of the PV module equipment procurement for a fishery and light complementary PV project in Dashan Town, Yuanjiangnan, Chang'an. With 352 MW of p-type modules to be procured, Tongwei's bid of RMB 0.826 /W was the lowest, with JinkoSolar bidding at RMB 0.84 /W and JA Solar bidding at RMB 0.881/W. Once the final bid results are announced, the winner will need to provide 646,932 p-type modules with a 545 W power rating.

JA Solar to supply 600 MW solar modules to Pakistan: JA Solar has signed MoUs with 3 Pakistani companies to supply 600 MW of solar modules at the recent Solar Pakistan exhibition. As per the MoUs, JA Solar will supply 200 MW of modules each to Garibsons, SM Solar and Wasiq Traders. Garibsons is Pakistan's largest rice exporter, and SM Solar is a subsidiary of the country's largest diversified business group, the Nishat Chunian Group. Wasiq Traders, a trading company in the solar module and inverter business, will act as JA Solar's distributor in Pakistan.

Recently, JA Solar's DeepBlue 4.0 Pro secured the "CGC Photovoltaic Top Runner + Cold Climate Empirical Assessment – A+ Grade" certificate by CGC (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

China to strengthen large wind and PV bases in 2024: China has said in a recent report that it plans to strengthen the country's renewable energy base, while promoting distributed energy and energy storage. The report said that the installed capacity of renewable energy power generation has surpassed that of thermal power, with the annual new installed capacity accounting for more than half of the global total. Among its goals for 2024 are efforts to control the consumption of fossil fuels, strengthen the construction of large wind and PV bases and their transmission channels, and develop new types of energy storage.

Leadmicro Nano ships 1st 100 MW perovskite ALD equipment: Solar cell equipment manufacturer Leadmicro Nano-Technology has announced that it has shipped its 1st first mass-production atomic layer deposition (ALD) equipment to an unnamed customer. The equipment, independently developed by Leadmicro Nano-Technology, will aid in the production of large-area 100-MW perovskite cells. The company says it will mainly be used in the preparation of SnO2 thin films for perovskite cells. It is said to be able to address process difficulties such as low temperature, non-destructive and large-area uniform preparation required by this coating process.
