Huasun signs AE Power as exclusive distributor in Pakistan; DMEGC reports FY2023 results; Jolywood's industrial & high-purity silicon fab on hold; Gaoce's Yancheng base rolls out 1 billionth wafer for 2024; Sunwell New Energy delivers 8 GW TOPCon wet process equipment.

Huasun signs deal with Pakistan's AE Power: Solar panel manufacturer Huasun Energy has announced that it has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Pakistani solar company AE Power. As per the agreement, AE Power will act as Huasun's exclusive distributor and service provider in Pakistan. Huasun said that Pakistan, with its substantial electricity demand, is a key market for its global strategy in the South Asian region. Since its establishment in 2012, AE Power has been committed to introducing advanced solar technologies, providing strong support for Huasun to promote heterojunction (HJT) products in Pakistan.

Recently, Huasun Energy announced that its Himalaya G12 series heterojunction (HJT) modules have obtained the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

DMEGC's FY2023 shipments up 24.27% YoY: DMEGC Solar has reported FY2023 revenues of RMB 19.721 billion ($2.74 billion), a Year-over-Year (YoY) increase of 1.39%. The company reported a net profit of RMB 1.816 billion ($252.7 million), up 8.80% YoY. Its PV industry products contributed RMB 12.777 billion ($1.78 billion) in revenue, with total shipments of about 10 GW, an increase of 24.27% YoY. As of December 31, 2023, DMEGC Solar had an internal production capacity of 14 GW of solar cells and 12 GW of modules.

Jolywood puts industrial silicon & high-purity polysilicon facility on hold: Jolywood has released updates on the progress of 3 of its significant projects. The 8 GW 1st phase of its 16 GW high-efficiency monocrystalline cell smart factory project announced in June 2021 is already in production, with the 8 GW 2nd phase currently under commissioning. The company has put on hold its 200,000-ton industrial silicon and 100,000-ton high-purity polysilicon fab announced in March 2022 in view of the current PV upstream silicon material market conditions, with uncertainties surrounding its eventual construction. The 3rd project, the 250 million sq. m. general-purpose PV backsheet facility announced in July 2022, has completed project approval and obtained environmental and energy assessment approvals, with the company actively pushing forward.

Gaoce's Yancheng base rolls out 1 billionth silicon wafer in 2024: Wire cutting machine and wafer manufacturer Gaoce has announced that its Yancheng wafer slicing base has rolled out the 1 billionth silicon wafer from its assembly line this year. Achieved as of March 11, the company says this is equivalent to 165 silicon wafers every second since the start of 2024. It says that the same feat took until May 20, 2023. Gaoce claims to have produced more than 5.6 billion high-efficiency solar silicon wafers since expanding its silicon wafer cutting and processing services in 2021, with more than 3.2 billion wafers produced in 2023.

Last month, Gaoce reported an 85.32% YoY increase in its FY2023 net profits (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
