First phase of Huangshi Sunshine 3 GW facility commissioned; Regin Solar's cell and module facility in Chizhou begins construction; Gaoce exhibits ultra-thin silicon wafer at conference; Jinenu Solar to build 3 GW module facility in Anhui.
Huangshi Sunshine 3 GW facility commissioned: Manufacturer and seller of photovoltaic equipment Huangshi Sunshine Technology said over WeChat that the commissioning ceremony of its 3 GW module facility (Phase I) was held in Tieshan Donggang Industrial Park. The entire facility, the company said, is being built in 2 phases. The investment for the first 3 GW phase is about RMB 1.5 billion ($0.22 billion), and the output value is expected to reach about RMB 6 billion ($0.86 billion). The second phase will see construction of a 7 GW PV module and manufacturing facility, with an investment of RMB 3.5 billion ($0.50 billion) and an estimated output value of RMB 14 billion ($2.01 billion).
Regin Solar's cell and module facility begins construction: Sustainable development company Regin Solar said via WeChat that its 10 GW TOPCon cell and 5 GW BIPV module facility in Chizhou has begun construction. Spread across 600 mu, the facility with an investment of RMB 8.2 billion is being constructed in 2 phases. The first phase covers an area of 275 mu, with a total construction area of 140,000 square meters. The idea is to build 12 high-efficiency cell production lines with an annual output of 6 GW n-type TOPCon cells. This phase is expected to be completed and put into operation by early 2024. Once completed, the phase is expected to generate annual-sales of RMB 6 billion ($0.86 billion). The second phase will see the construction of 4 GW n-type TOPCon cells and 5 GW-BIPV module production lines. On completion of the facility, the estimated annual output value will be nearly RMB 10 billion.
Gaoce showcases ultra-thin silicon wafer: Over a WeChat communication, wire cutting machine producer, Qingdao Gaoce Technology, said that it has showcased its 60μm ultra-thin silicon wafer for the first time at the Soochow Securities 2023 New Technology Series Conference in Shanghai. It emphasized that while the industry had released its first 80μm ultra-thin silicon wafer in August 2022, Gaoce developed this 60μm ultra-thin silicon wafer within few months after that. Last month, Gaoce released its 2022 annual report that showed a net profit of RMB 789 million (see China Solar PV News Snippets)
Jinenu Solar to build 5th manufacturing facility in Anhui: Customized producer of photovoltaic modules Jinenu Solar said it has signed an investment agreement for a 3 GW high-efficiency photovoltaic module facility in Ma'anshan. This will be its fifth manufacturing facility here. The total investment is estimated to be about RMB 1.2 billion ($0.17 billion) and the construction period is expected to be 10 months. Once completed, the annual sales revenue is expected to be about RMB 3 billion ($0.43 billion). Last month, Jinenu Solar's Tai'an facility had produced its first TOPCon module (see China Solar PV News Snippets)
