DAS Solar, the China based solar cell and module technology company, has launched a new n-type PRO solar panel with the highest conversion efficiency of 22.72% and power output of 635W targeting utility scale power plants segment.
The company says it has used its proprietary n-type TOPCon 3.0 cell technology for the new module along with a high-density encapsulation. It has a bifaciality that reaches 80%. The panel is compatible with all mainstream bracket designs, it added.
Other features it mentions the new panel incorporates include SMBB that minimizes grid line shielding, thereby increases its resistance to cell fracture, microcracks and improves reliability.
"The TOPCon cell efficiency has topped 26% in the lab and exceeded 25.2% in mass production, which makes DAS Solar the leader of the industrialization of N-type technology," the Chinese manufacturer stated.
It is offering a 15-year product and 30-year power warranty for the panels that come with IEC 61215 and IEC 61730, ammonia and salt mist corrosion tests of IEC 62716 and IEC 61701, PID testing of IEC 62804-1 and other certifications.
During TaiyangNews Virtual Conference on Solar Module Innovations Conference in January 2023, DAS Solar's CTO Dr Dengyuan Song discussed the company's n-type TOPCon technology development. For its TOPCon DAON brand of solar cells, the company said it plans to improve its efficiency from 25.2% in 2022 to 25.8%. In mass production, the cell efficiency of these modules stands at 25.2% and for modules it is 22.8% (see Exciting Updates Reported At TaiyangNews Innovations 2023 Conference).
