Netherlands’ Rijksvastgoedbedrijf Launches Tender For Solar Noise Barrier Along A58 Highway; Will Start Accepting Bids By End Aug. 2018

The Central Government Real Estate Agency or Rijksvastgoedbedrijf of the Netherlands has launched a tender to construct a utility scale solar power park in the form of a noise barrier on one of its highway, A58. It has not specified the capacity of the park.

Exact project location will be on the north side of the A58 highway as a noise barrier near the municipality of Etten-Leur in the province of North Brabant.

By the end of August 2018, it will start accepting bids. The municipality of Etten-Leur will sign an agreement with the successful developer for a period of 20 years. Details about the tender are available on the website of Rijksvastgoedbedrijf.

In May 2018, the country announced the results of the large scale renewable energy auction, SDE+autumn 2017 round, awarding 1.91 GW to solar PV projects out of the total awarded capacity of 3.33 GW (see Solar Dominates Dutch 2017 Autumn Round).
