Ripple energy acquiring 42 MW solar plant in UK: Renewable energy projects developer Ripple Energy in the UK will acquire a 42 MW solar farm in Britain from RES saying it will be the country's 1st shared solar park. To be built at Derril Water in Devon, it will be available for the common public to partly own the project on a shared solar model. It will enable the investors to source green energy for their homes and reduce their energy bills while bringing down carbon footprint. Ripple said almost 20,000 people have already reserved a place in the project which is the company's 3rd such offering after having energized 2 consumer-owned wind farms in Wales and Scotland. Derril Water Solar Park will ensure sheep grazing to continue on over 96% of the site during operation.
