After 4 consecutive months of exceeding 500 MW new solar PV capacity additions, German installations slipped to 470.7 MW in the month of July 2022, according to the country's Federal Network Agency or Bundesnetzagentur.
This includes 354.66 MW installed outside of the Renewables Sources Act (EEG) tender scheme. Ground mounted solar systems added another 4.96 MW to the total. Tenant electricity systems pitched in with 2.82 MW.
After adjusting the numbers for June 2022 which were previously shared by the agency as 573.8 MW, it now says the monthly additions were 566.99 MW (see Germany Installed 573.8 MW Solar In June 2022).
In the first 7 months of 2022, Germany has now installed 3.679 GW new solar PV capacity.
On the other hand, onshore wind installations dropped down to 177.37 MW in July 2022, compared to 199.65 MW in the previous month. Onshore wind additions within 7M/2022 add up to 1.22 GW. Biomass additions reached a cumulative 16.25 MW with the addition of 4.04 MW in July 2022.
