India's Ministry of Commerce and and Industry has slapped anti-dumping duty (ADD) on clear float glass imported into the country from Iran. Clear float glass is used in the solar industry along with in construction, refrigeration and mirror.
The ADD has been worked out to be $55.59 per ton. Aluminum radiators from China will face ADD of $22.89 per ton, according to Indian news agency Press Trust of India (PTI).
These duties will be effective for a period of 5 years.
These fines follow a probe conducted by the Indian Directorate General of Anti Dumping and Allied Duties (DGAD). It concluded that these products were dumped in India and caused material injury to the domestic industry.
DGAD was acting on the complaint of Saint-Gobain India, a local float glass manufacturing subsidiary of France-headquartered Saint-Gobain Group.
