82 MW solar in Colombia: Matrix Renewables has raised financing for 82 MW solar power capacity in Colombia from Bancolombia and Inter-American Development Bank (IADB). It termed it the 1st long-term non-recourse financing project for operational solar PV or wind energy projects in the country. This capacity is located in Puerto Gaitan, Meta in the form of 3 commercial scale solar power plants called Los Llanos Solar Forests 1, 2 and 3, each with 27 MW capacity. Together, the company claimed it forms the largest portfolio of operational PV projects in Colombia.

Renova Energia's 703.5 MW wind + solar in Brazil: Renova Energia has secured approval from Brazil's Bahia Institute for Environment and Water Resources (INEMA) to carry out the development and implementation of a wind and a solar energy project with a combined capacity of 703.5 MW. The wind complex will have 576 MW capacity, while the solar park in Caetite will have a capacity of 127.5 MW.  

7 new renewable energy project in Dominican Republic: The Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM) in Dominican Republic has signed 7 contracts for renewable energy projects with domestic and international companies, that could end up representing a combined capacity of 544 MW DC/420 MW AC, all PV projects with individual capacity ranging between 42 MW and 120 MW in Azua, Peravia, San Cristóbal, San Pedro de Macorís, Monte Plata and La Victoria, in Santo Domingo Norte regions. Investment for these projects will be  more than $485 million. The investors were identified as Koror Business SRL; Desarrollo Fotovoltaicos DSS, SAS; Levitals Grupo Inversor, SLU; Ege Haina, AES Dominicana Renewable Energy, SRL; Electronic, JRL and Natural World Energy Corporation, NWEC, SRL. Construction on site for these projects is likely to begin shortly, the ministry added.
