Indian National Hydro Power Utility Seeks EPC Contractors For 30 MW PV Plant

India's hydro power utility, NHPC Limited has called for bids to develop a 30 MW solar power plant to be set up in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The 30 MW solar crystalline PV grid connected power plant will need to be developed along with associated 132 kV power transmission equipment.

The plant will be located in the village Parasan, Kalpi in the district of Jalaun in Uttar Pradesh. The winner will need to take care for operation and maintenance for 10 years post the date of commissioning. The system will need to be connected to the grid 12 months from the date of issue of notification of award (NOA).

This tender, which takes place as part of the domestic competitive bids, has been floated by NHPC Ltd., for and on behalf of Bundelkhand Saur Urja Limited. The latter is a joint venture between NHPC Ltd. and Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA).

The tender documents (NIT No.: 2017_NHPC_168705_1) are available for download here. The pre-bid meeting will take place on February 9, 2017. Online bids can be submitted till March 1, 2017, while offline bids will be accepted only till March 2, 2017. Online bid opening of QR and technical bid will be on March 3, 2017, and offline submission of bids will be opened on March 3, 3017.

In October 2016, NHPC had also seeked EPC contractors for the development of 50 MW capacity solar power PV grid connected project in Theni and Dindigul districts of Tamil Nadu.
