The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has announced the results for 1.2 GW of hybrid wind-solar projects. The winners of the projects, which will have energy storage for guaranteed peak power supply, are:

  • AMP Energy Green for 100 MW capacity at a rate of Rs 4.64 ($0.057) per kWh
  • ReNew Vikram Shakti for 600 MW capacity at a rate of Rs 4.69 ($0.057) per kWh
  • Hero Solar Energy for 120 MW capacity at a rate of Rs 4.72 ($0.058) per kWh
  • ACME Cleantech Solutions for 380 MW capacity at a rate of Rs 4.73 ($0.057) per kWh

The projects will be spread across India and will be installed on a 'build-own-operate' basis. They will also be linked to the interstate transmission network. To add to this, SECI will enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement with hybrid power developers.

Meanwhile, earlier this year, Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) had sought vendors for the installation of off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems (SPWPS) of 1-10 horsepower (HP) capacities across India under component B of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme (see SECI Tender For Off-Grid Solar PV Water Pumping Systems)
