North America’s Largest Clean Energy Event RE+ 2024 Opened Doors At Anaheim, California, US to 1,300 exhibitors and 370 education seminars for some 40,000 attendees. More than 500 speakers are lined up for the event, including at TaiyangNews & EUPD Research’s Solar Made in USA conference that concluded on day 1.

Solar Made in the USA conference: TaiyangNews in collaboration with EUPD Research and RE+ organized the Solar Made in USA conference that brought together leading solar PV manufacturers and industry experts to discuss competitive manufacturing in the country. Participants shared their perspectives on technology, market factors and tools required to make it happen. The panel discussions touched upon various geopolitical and trade issues that have a direct bearing on the US becoming self-sufficient in solar PV manufacturing. However, the industry was largely of the view that irrespective of the results of the US Presidential elections due in November 2024, the PV manufacturing segment will continue to grow as both the Presidential candidates, Kamala Harris from the Democrats and Donald Trump of the Republicans plan to boost local manufacturing.    

Grew Energy enters North American market: Indian solar PV manufacturing startup Grew Energy has formally announced its entry into the North American solar energy market. At the RE+ 2024 event, the company presented its p-type and n-type modules. Its mono PERC modules with up to 21.29% efficiency, and TOPCon modules have around 22.45% efficiency which the company produces at its 1.2 GW fab in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The company is also adding 1.6 GW in the vicinity. It is also working on another 3.2 GW solar module production plant in Kathua in Jammu & Kashmir. Grew Energy is exhibiting at booth E-11054.  

Maxeon’s felicitated partners: Solar PV manufacturer Maxeon Solar Technologies used the RE+ platform to recognize and felicitate installers and dealers in its biggest market, North America. Solar Technologies, Solaris Renewables, and Rising Sun Solar were the 3 companies it identified. Maxeon added more than 25 partners in the US market in Q2 2024, and continues to expand the list to stay closer to its customers. It is also showcasing its IBC panels with over 24% efficiency and industry-leading 40-year power, product, and service warranty. Maxeon is exhibiting at booth D23045.     

SolarEdge’s energy optimization platform: SolarEdge Technologies is presenting its cloud-based energy optimization platform ONE for commercial & industrial (C&I) solar applications, its debut in North America. It says the tool is specifically engineered for EPCs, O&M providers, developers, businesses, and enterprises. The platform is designed to integrate the management of all energy assets, including PV systems, EV chargers, storage solutions, and building assets such as HVAC and lighting. It will be released in the region in 2025. At the same event, it also unveiled its next-generation single-phase All-in-One Home Solar + Storage solution for the residential segment. It will integrate a scalable battery, and a new solar inverter up to 11.5 kW capacity to provide highly flexible whole home backup to fit various types of homes in the US, it explained. SolarEdge is exhibiting at booth 400222, in Hall C.   

New Sineng products: China-headquartered solar PV inverter manufacturer Sineng Electric rolled out its new products at the event including the 400 kW string PCS. It said these advanced solutions are engineered for high-efficiency, reliability and profitability. Sineng is exhibiting at booth no. 36061

Anker’s new solution for extreme weather: Anker SOLIX has come to the event with its various product offerings among which is the latest iteration of Anker SOLIX X1 Solar & Storage Solution. The company said this product is designed to perform well in both extreme heat and cold conditions, hence it can be used round the year. For this solution, Anker said it uses an innovative modular dual-optimization architecture with the microinverter on the roof along with AC coupling module energy storage solution under the roof. These features generate higher power, and stronger resilience, along with offering greater scalability. Anker SOLIX is exhibiting at booth no. 44011.
