As part of the TaiyangNews and SNEC Energy Storage, Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Leadership Conversations, TaiyangNews Managing Director Michael Schmela spoke exclusively to the Vice General Manager Sales and Marketing Center, China with Fox ESS, David Lu.

Conducted at the recently concluded 8th (2023) International Energy Storage Technology, Equipment and Application Exhibition in Shanghai, China, Lu gave an overview and shared the company's vision during the interview (click on photo to watch video).

A manufacturer of solar PV inverters, hybrid inverters, lithium batteries and electric vehicle (EV) chargers, China-headquartered Fox ESS emerged on the scene only in 2019. In April 2020, the company went global with its products launched into key international markets.

The company's primary focus is on solar inverters where it sees a huge scope for growth as the world depends on solar PV technology to achieve its decarbonization targets. Fox's current annual production capacity stands at 12 GW in Wenzhou, China.

As storage becomes a necessity for renewable energy sector, several big players are making inroads into this segment with an aim to become full solution providers producing their own battery products and EV charger modules.

Earlier this year, Fox launched its Elite Installer program in the UK. A certification scheme, it is available to installers of the company's products who attend its formal installer training courses.

Describing the usefulness of these courses, Lu said this initiative is part of a company strategy to serve its global customer base with standardized services and quality installation practices. Since the launch of this program, Lu shared that the manufacturer has been receiving positive and productive feedback from the customers.

The company now plans to expand the Elite Installer program to more countries and regions in the future.

Fox also aims to continue boosting its capabilities in the R&D segment as part of its future growth strategy to strengthen its market positioning, customer service and ensure lifecycle management of products offered.

Lu shared the company's focus will also be on providing customized products and services to different countries and regions.
