  • Enlight Renewable Energy is undergoing a leadership transition as it enters a new global growth phase

  • Adi Leviatan, formerly of 3M and McKinsey, will become Enlight’s first female CEO

  • Leadership changes also include shifts at subsidiary Clenera, with new CEO and vice chair appointments

Israel-based renewable energy company Enlight Renewable Energy has expanded and rejigged its executive leadership team. The company’s Co-Founder and current CEO Gilad Yavetz will transition to executive chairman of the board, handing over the group’s reins to the incoming CEO, Adi Leviatan.

As the company’s 1st female CEO, Leviatan is switching over from the US-based industrial manufacturing company 3M, where she served as the President of the Abrasive Systems Division. Before 3M, Leviatan worked with business consulting group McKinsey & Company for over 14 years, including as a partner for several years.

Enlight called this transition as the ‘natural next step’ in the company’s global expansion. The group’s current Chairman of the Board, Yair Seroussi, will move to the vice chairman role under the reshuffle.

“It is no coincidence that our market cap has grown from $200 million to $3 billion over this period. We are now entering the next chapter in building a world-class company poised for continued growth,” said Seroussi. “The combination of Gilad - an entrepreneur and founder who led the company with talent and resolve and now steps into the role of Chairman, and Adi, who brings deep experience from leading global firms, marks a pivotal step in the life of this exceptional company.”

Active in the solar, wind and energy storage domains, Enlight operates in the US, Israel and 10 European nations.

These changes follow the company’s recent announcement of planned transition of the CEO of its US subsidiary Clenera. The subsidiary’s CEO and Co-Founder Adam Pishl will switch over as the vice chair of the company’s board, while the Chief Commercial Officer Jared McKee will take over as the CEO. All of these changes will take effect from October 1, 2025.
