Even as its search for a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) continues, Indian renewable energy independent power producer (IPP) Azure Power has found a new Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) in ex-Vedanta Group senior resource Shweta Srivastava.
At oil, gas and metals miner Vedanta, Srivastava was working as group head talent acquisition and before that worked with brands as Indus Towers Limited, United Health Group, Qualcomm, Motorola and Ericsson.
Srivastava will lead human resource strategy for Azure to support the company's overall business plan and strategic direction, especially in succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation.
"Shweta's mastery of people, culture development and driving large scale execution will enable us to strengthen our talent pool and keep investing in our people," said Azure's Acting CEO Rupesh Agarwal. "Her multi-dimensional experience will help us strengthen our position as an employer of choice and further build the organization of tomorrow."
Agarwal's appointment as acting CEO was announced after Harsh Shah quit the position after more than a month of joining (see Azure Power's CEO Quits With Immediate Effect).
