Israeli solar inverter producer SolarEdge Technologies has bid adieu to its Senior Director Marketing & Communications for Europe, Thomas Franken, who has joined German energy storage company Tesvolt GmbH as of January 2018. At Tesvolt, Franken will define, implement and control a global corporate brand strategy for the company.

Franken joined SolarEdge in June 2016, as per information available on his LinkedIn account, where he was responsible for all regional marketing activities for the brand in Europe, and also lead digital marketing, PR and media planning. He previously worked with Hanwha Q Cells.

Franken's departure from SolarEdge was preceded by Alison Finch's appointment as the company's new Vice-President Marketing for Europe. She joined the SolarEdge in October 2018. Before that, she was Chief Marketing Officer in Huawei Technologies' Europe solar team, and as a representative of Huawei she was a vice president on the board of directors at European solar lobby association, SolarPower Europe.

Finch is based out of Reading in Berkshire, United Kingdom. Incidentally, in June 2018, SolarEdge filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Finch's previous employer Huawei and its German distributor in relation with its power optimizer technology.
