  • He was previously also the CEO and president of solar tracker company Ideematec

After working for 6 years with Germany’s Schletter Group, Christian Salzeder has joined Bulgaria and Germany-based integrated solutions provider SUNOTEC as the company’s new managing director.

Salzeder worked with the solar mounting solutions company Schletter Group from January 2019 till December 2024. At the end of last year, the latter was acquired by rooftop solar mounting group Enstall, a Blackstone-backed company that also operates brands like IronRidge, PanelClaw, ESDEC, EcoFasten, SUNFER, and BluBase (see Enstall Expands Into German Solar Market With Schletter Acquisition).

Salzeder was the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) Projects at Schletter Group . This was his 2nd innings with the Schletter Group where he worked for 6 years between 2010 and 2016 looking after international and emerging markets business development. He worked in North Carolina, US for close to 3 years as the CEO and President of solar tracker maker Ideematec, before going back to the Schletter Group.

Salzeder’s new employer SUNOTEC claims to have built over 10 GW of utility-scale solar power plants in Europe and Africa with more than 630 projects and over 140 MWh of installed battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity. Salzeder brings along a wealth of experience in supply chain management, project management and customer and project acquisition.

Last year at the TaiyangNews Solar Power Plant Developments 2024 Conference, Sunotec’s Head of Strategy Alexander Zahariev said that the company had a market share of 12% in the EU and UK in 2023 (see Summary: TaiyangNews Solar Power Plant Conference 2024).
