  • Endurans Solar has announced the departure of its CEO Nathan Arbitman

  • He is replaced by the former CTO of solar deployment platform Erthos, Nate Coleman

  • Arbitman will stay on as an advisor to the company’s board of directors

Nate Coleman is the new chief executive officer (CEO) of the US-based solar backsheet and encapsulant manufacturer Endurans Solar. He replaces outgoing CEO Nathan Arbitman who leaves the group after over 3 years, but will stay on as an advisor to the company’s board of directors.

Coleman moves to Endurans following a short stint of a year with solar deployment platform Erthos as its chief technology officer (CTO). He was previously the chief products officer (CPO) at SunPower Corporation, which has now gone bust (see SunPower Corporation & Subsidiaries File For Bankruptcy Protection Under Chapter 11).

Coleman’s professional experience also spans various other solar companies including Tesla/SolarCity, Sunrun, Zola and Zep Solar.

“The company’s track record of innovation and commitment to advancing solar technology aligns perfectly with my vision of creating sustainable growth while delivering exceptional value to our customers,” said Coleman.

Endurans also announced the launch of new products on the occasion. These include a high-reflective black backsheet for residential modules, a transparent backsheet for bifacial utility-scale modules, and a multi-layer EPE encapsulant to provide moisture resistance for next-generation cells including TOPCon, and HJT.

At the recent TaiyangNews Reliable PV Module Design 2024 virtual conference, Endurans Solar’s Commercial Manager Imco Goudswaard, shared some insights into the company’s innovative coextruded polyolefin-based backsheet and encapsulant solutions (see Cost-effective & Reliable Coextruded Polyolefin-Based Encapsulation Solutions).
