India's Waaree Group has announced the appointment of a new CEO for its flagship company, solar module manufacturer Waaree Energies Limited. Vivek Srivastava has joined the company since August 30, 2021.
In a statement released by the company, Waaree said Srivastava is in charge of setting strategic goals for the manufacturer, leading the development of the company's short and long-term goals, as well as assessing, monitoring and minimizing risks to the company, its subsidiaries and the entire group.
An engineer from Jaipur's Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), previously Malaviya Regional Engineering College, Srivastava has joined Waaree from Reliance BP Mobility Limited where he worked till recently as the Senior Vice President Business Development. Before that, he was employed with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).
While welcoming the group's new CEO, Waaree Group's Chairman and Managing Director Hitesh Doshi said, "Vivek has an exceptional leadership track record, strong international exposure, deep strategic expertise, a unique ability to forge long-standing client relationships, and proven experience of driving transformation and managing disruption."
