Patrik Setterberg has joined Denmark-based utility-scale solar company Nordic Solar
Setterberg will use his renewable energy and financial sector experience as the company’s new CFO

Denmark-based utility-scale solar energy projects developer and operator Nordic Solar has announced the appointment of Patrik Setterberg as the company’s new chief financial officer (CFO) who comes to the company with experience in the renewable energy and financial sectors.
Setterberg takes over the position from Jes Vengaard who has stepped down to focus on his personal life, according to the company. Vengaard was Nordic CFO since 2021.
Nordic’s new CFO Setterberg has made the switch to the solar company from the wind energy sector as he previously headed wind energy company Vestas Development as its CFO. He also worked as the head of investor relations at Vestas from 2018 to 2021.
His work experience also includes Danske Bank and Nordea where he gained knowledge of renewable energy investments.
“Patrik's knowledge of the energy sector in addition to his strong financial profile and managerial experience from a large global organisation make him a very valuable addition to the company and our continued growth journey,” said CEO of Nordic Solar, Nikolaj Holtet Hoff.
As of Q3 2024, Nordic’s operational portfolio stood at 469 MW, with more than a 2 GW development pipeline.
